牡丹峰
牡丹峰 is a yakiniku restaurant in Katsushika's Horikiri serving staple cuts like kalbi and harami, premium loin and tongue, and an array of offal and pork for relaxed tabletop grilling over drinks and rice.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Tucked along a side street in Katsushika Ward's Horikiri, 牡丹峰 is a neighborhood yakiniku spot where an evening spent slowly grilling cuts over the table feels right at home. The lineup covers classic beef cuts such as kalbi, loin, harami, and tongue, alongside a wide range of options like beef tendon kalbi, premium mino (tripe), offal, pork belly, and green onion pork. For a richer meal, diners can also select from premium platters including jō-kalbi, jō-loin, jō-harami, and jō-tongue.
Side dishes provide a refreshing complement between cuts of meat, with napa cabbage kimchi, kkakdugi radish kimchi, an assortment featuring oi-kimchi cucumber, namul, and sanchu lettuce adding variety and balance to the spread. Mixed vegetables—including green onions, bell peppers, and shiitake mushrooms—and garlic baked in foil over the grill mesh also pair smoothly with beer or other alcoholic beverages. Squid and sausages are on offer as well, allowing guests to order whatever grilled items they fancy and dine at their own pace.
Beyond enjoying table service in the dining room's calm setting, visitors can also take advantage of takeout options such as the kalbi bento, mixed beef yakiniku bento, and salted beef tongue bento. The restaurant accepts advance reservations, making it well-suited for families and dining groups. A visit to Horikiri offers a welcoming setting for anyone looking to savor yakiniku amid the fragrant smoke of the grill.
